Geocache Description:

DO NOT GO TO THE ABOVE COORDINATES (at least, not for the cache)
This is a puzzle-multi- cache, and will require you to gather clue information in the Prescott City area. Basic math (a calculator) and the ability to carefully follow directions is required. YOU MUST ALSO FIND "AID STATION CACHE" for one of the clues. The clues are not in any particular order.

UPDATE: ON 3/31/03 I replaced the final cache as it seems the original cache grew legs and walked off.

The final cache is a few miles outside Prescott. The road in is rough and rutted, but a sturdy 2WD should be fine in good weather. There are good views of the Indian Fire damage and Quartz Mtn. The final cache contains $5 as a reward for the first finder, as well as general cache items.
"P4" stands for "Prescott Puzzle Ponderosa Park" cache

To find this cache, you must first find the answers to the 12 CLUES. You will then have to do some calculations to find the numbers for the coordinates to the final cache location in the format - N34-AB.CDE W112-FG.HIJ.
There is a hint with the format - Forest Rd. KL.

CALCULATIONS
Sharpen your pencil and mind! These should not be too hard if you work carefully. But, a small mistake may have you looking in the wrong place! Remember, any number with the "#" in front of it refers to the answer to that numbered CLUE (#1 through #12).

FINAL CACHE is located at: N34-AB.CDE W112-FG.HIJ
Hint: Forest Rd: KL

A= Assign consecutive numeric value to the alphabet (a=1, b=2, etc). Convert the WORD in #6 to numbers. Add the SEVEN digits together, then add the 2 digit answer together again. Put that single digit answer in "A"
(Get the idea? Solve carefully. Especially this one, (A) or you will be on a wild goose chase on the wrong side of town! Answers will always be a single digit)
B= Add ALL the digits in #12 together and divide by 3.
C= Answer is in the "AID STATION CACHE"
D= Divide #7 by the day of the month in #12.
E= Add the FIRST and LAST digits of #3 together.
F= Add all the digits of #10 together, and together again (See "A")
G= Clue #8 minus (Clue #11 squared), then multiply by "J"
H= Add the digits in #1 together, and together again (See "A")
I= Take the FIRST 3 letters and the LAST 3 letters of #4 and convert them to numbers using that same consecutive substitution (a=1, b=2, etc). Multiply the FIRST 3 numbers together. Add the LAST 3 numbers together. Add these 2 numbers together. Then divide by 2, and add E. Now subtract #11.
J= #9 divided by 7,998
K= #5
L= Subtract the FIRST digit in #2 from the SECOND digit in #2.

After you have gathered the clues and calculated the coordinates, have fun and enjoy the cache!
