Lizards from the Planet Loony Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have had no contact with the cache owner since my last note and there has been no notes posted to the cache page in that time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

The above co-ordinates are for a junction on the trail that leads to all three caches. The parking location is the same for all three caches, but their hiding spots are some distance apart. The parking location is N43 19.571 W80 23.211.

The first cache you must find is “New name; New Location”, use Waypoint GC6EF2. The second is “T.B.W.C. of 2003”, use Waypoint GCC53B.

This is the third cache hidden in the forest. Under the lids of the cache containers are two numbers that will help in the finding of this cache, “Lizards from the Planet Loony”. Give yourself about 1 ½ to 2 hours to find all three caches and about a 3.5 km. walk. There are lots of hills, most trails are well marked and wide, but side trails are not marked. It is a great place to cross country ski or snowshoe in the winter. Hike all year round.

Urgent message: While out doing wilderness maneuvers the Travel Bugs from “T.B.W.C. of 2003” came across the landing site of a spaceship. After surveying the outside of the spaceship they found an entrance and 12 alien reptiles and amphibians. The lone guard said that they came from the friendly Plant Loony and are on a fact finding mission to see how the Earth bound relatives are surviving. The other eleven are in suspended animation and are taking turns guarding the ship.

He explained that after making a small navigational error when fling over the North Pole. A broken compass, a misguided starfish captain that thought they where over the South Pole with all its snow and a crab as a navigator stating to this fact, they land in the Northern Hemisphere instead of the Southern Hemisphere. Being to close to the ground and caught in a snow storm they had to make an emergency landing and must wait for winter to break before continuing on their journey as the cold slows down there movements. They do not have enough supplies to outlast the winter and are hoping for some friendly earthlings to take care of them until spring so that they can continue on there travels. They will be happy to share some stories about the worlds they’ve seen and their many adventures on Planet Loony.

Now comes the fun stuff:

New Name; New Location: Number A:___; Number B:____

T.B.W.C. of 2003: Number C:____; Number D:____

Add all 4 numbers together: A+B+C+D=E:_____

Multiply E by 4 and than by 10: E * 4 * 10= F:______

Add this number to the North Co-ordinates:

N43 18.396 + F.________= N43 1___._____

Subtract this number from the West Co-ordinates:

W80 23.252 – F.________= W80 2___._____

Now that you have the new co-ordinates go out and help the Lizards from the Plant Loony. Don’t forget to record the numbers under the lid. The two numbers have been put on the cover of the log book also.

Additional Hints (Encrypt)

If you follow the trail there is an easier slop to climb. At the top of the hill in a short hollow stump.
