This site is located in the Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge near Milbridge, ME. It is accessible by hiking or boating (kayaks would be best).
The land route is a three mile round trip from the parking lot. If you choose the by sea option the paddle from the Salt Marsh Road public launch (N 44° 28.21' W67° 53.87')is between four and five miles and is only accesible within around two or three hours of high tide. If you plan to return towards low tide you will have a long muddy walk. Wind and waves can spring up quickly so be sure to be prepared to hike if you don't feel comfortable on the water.
Remember, it is always a good idea to dress for the water not the weather.
