The hike is a 6 1/2 mile round trip, classified as moderate. Some parts of the trail are very narrow, some require 3 points of contact. Bring plenty of water and a picnic lunch. There is a peak register to sign in on and ucspots has placed a cache there as well. The view from the summit is quite breath-taking, and you can tell all your friends you hiked the highest peak in the front range (6164').
You are a visitor in the forest. Animals like rattlesnakes make this their home. Before you reach into or under anything, always clear it with a stick or look before you grab!!! You life may depend on it.
Update on 6/18/19 - You are now looking for a butter dish. Please be sure to place it back exactly as you found it. This way it will be there for some time. It is well hidden so the average hiker will not find it!!
The ammo can on the summit is NOT the cache!!!
