 Looking at La Luz

Start at the La Luz trail head off Tramway Rd. ( not the one at the
tram it's self). From the parking lot it's a short hike, but not
the easiest as it requires going off the trail to find the cache.
From the cache location you have a clear view of the West Mesa, Mt.
Taylor, and for ref. the trail head. Of course this is New Mexico
so clear views are a way of life. It's a bit steep in front of the
trees, but easier behind them.
The cache is a plastic box about 10X10 inches and about 4 high. In
side is an American Flag, "emergency poncho" ( going to get a lot
of use of that in the desert, whistle, Tony Hillerman Book, a CD
game and a log book.
This is my first time with this so any advice would be very welcome

Wow factor = 3 (Cool!) Nice view. Took the hard way up the canyon bottom - kinda brushy. Easier going down the ridge, even with snow making things a little slippery. TFTC

Found this one, alone with HAMK3DCC, after an aerobic hike. Could not have ask for a better day. Coordinates were right on. Nice hide.

Every time that I get in the area, this one taunts me, so today Bronco the Geo-dog and I scrambled up to make the find. We had a bit of a start, provided by a Large Rattler. Decided that we would make a bit of a detour... Great job on the hide for your first cache! SL and grabbed the balloon bug that had been here for quite awhile. TFTC!
