The cache is in sandy scrub and off the beaten path, about at sea level. The cache was renewed on 15 January 2006, with a small water-tight ammo box now replacing a leaky plastic container. It should be right, at last!

The cache is a small ammo box that is buried (with side exposed) in the sandy soil behind a large bent paperbark tree that makes a "Y", a shape that is almost unique at the site. The site is anything but dangerous, unless, perhaps, the tide is unusually high. The cache contains little of value, just moderately useful or fun bits. Don't forget to fill out the log book and replace the ammo box well in its hole. It is easily concealed with sticks and leaves behind the tree. The cache is best approached in togs, along the beach heading north. Bring the dog for a swim. An easily managed and good experience for the children.

Park your car at S26 46.658 / E153 08.254, and then set out for the cache from there, if you like. Wear a hat and sunscreen.

Nice stroll up the Coastal Pathway and along the creek track, no need to wade anywhere these days. Saw a couple of hand made kites that had escaped from the government Sport and Recreation centre nearby, which offers great active holiday programs for kids. Check out the GIANT swing if you drive past the entrance. Swapped swag. TFTC

During my Caloundra geocaching power hour i had this one come up in my gps as close, read the description then decided to use the Tom Tom to take me to te closest location to the cache. Found myself entering a christian rec area and decided this was not the place to park. Against the advice of the owner of the cache i parked in front of the school and tried to enter through the bush land to the cache, 44 meters from the cache was the closest i got before the world crumbled i found mself on the edge of a saltwater creek about 44meters wide and the GPS had gone flat. I found my way out and was going to follow the school fence but decided that me and my wet shoes and scratched legs should listen to advice given, I walked along the beach and found i had to back track along the path to locate the cache.
Found cache! Log book was damp and the ammo tin is very rusted to the point where the lid was stiff to open.
Took: Potato Peeler (I dont know why a potato peeler is in a cache??????)
Left: Kids toys and Swag items.
The walking path from the car park Co-ord is the greatest asset for people that are not sure footed.

Found this one on our last day of a week of caching on the Sunshine Coast. We parked at the suggested car park. Didn't see the boardwalk - thought it was just a path into the school - so we took our shoes off and decided to head off up the beach. A beautiful day and a great beach. Had to back track slightly once we left the beach [and put our shoes back on!] Followed the GPS off the track towards GZ - couldn't believe how many paperbarks have a "Y" shape! Nearly gave up on this one, but had alast look at a larger tree and there was the cache. The log is rather damp and mouldy. We then made our way back to the car via the boardwalk [nice!] TNLNSL TFTC
