This ammobox cache (my first) is located in the new Eramosa Karst Conservation area among unique Karst features such as caves and sinkholes. The terrain is condusive to a leisurely hike but if you wish to explore the caves get ready to get dirty.
Park off of Highland Rd W in Upper Stoney Creek and enter trail near a small parking lot at N 43° 11.280' W079° 48.234'. Trails look used but are not marked. Two caves can be found at N43° 11.127' w079° 48.170' and N43° 11.055' W079° 48.519'. The cache is located NEAR, NOT IN the second cave opening. WARNING -- do not go in the caves if travelling alone they are tight fits. The first cave travels 150m from each side of the nexus, the second is about 50m long. This sight is about to open as a Conservation area, please be careful not to harm any of the sensitive landforms.
