I’m a trainer and speaker from San Diego, participating in a 3 day seminar at The Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace. I’ve stashed 10 caches in the San Diego area, mostly on coastal mountain tops and ridges.
The windy city is 93 degrees today and the humidity is dripping wet. When I planted this cache at sunset it was still blazing hot under a cacophony of tree frogs.
This cache contains a lifelike tarantula that Team Nova found in a cache in Arizona near the Tom Mix Monument and then carried to a cache in San Diego. It has been requested that Mr. Tarantula become a traveler, and that his progress be posted to The Mix'ed Up cache (the apostrophe is important). As I was heading out for Chicagoland, I decided to give him a ride with me on American Airlines.
The cache is well hidden in plain sight. It contains Mr. Tarantula, an Idea-Power tape, 2 tickets to the Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace Theatre for the August 15 performance of I Hate Hamlet, a Post-It Pad, and a Georged Dollar Bill.
What the heck is a Georged dollar bill, you ask? It’s very popular in San Diego Caching. We watch our dollar bills travel, just like Mr. Tarantula. This dollar bill came from Yrium, the most famous of all San Diego area cachers.
