Once the site of a spectacular mansion, the
remaining structures represent turn of the century opulence ! The structure
itself is called the Eagles Nest and resembles something straight out the of the
game
Myst...Once
you see it, you'll know. Many people around, especially on the weekend so
use stealth when searching and re-hiding the cache...The Cache itself is in a
tupperware container with a beige lid. GPS accuracy was only 60 feet or so
when I hid it, so you should probably read the hint below...encrypted hint below
.
TOTALLY NOT RELATED INFO BUT INTERESTING !
Don't forget to
check out the long path on the opposite side of the location which leads down
towards the river...At the bottom of the path is a lookout point. There's
another path to the right, kind of steep terrain so be careful...What remains of
a carriage house will meet you at the bottom, along with two marble lions, one
of which is missing a head. Look behind the fireplace in the old carriage
house and you'll see a dark spooky room...I didn't go in, maybe someone will and
snap a pic. Historic Note... An infamous serial killer used to live nearby
on 35 Pine Street...It's rumored that he visited this location often !
