Adolf Sutro, mayor of San Francisco and at one time owner of 1/12 of the city's land, dedicated the Triumph of Light statue on Mount Olympus on November 24, 1887. The statue has been removed, but Sutro's name can still be found if you look closely at the east side of the pedestal.
I had trouble getting good coordinates here, even after averaging for 12 minutes, the numbers still seemed to be changing.
