The cache is located in a corn maze created by crop artist Stan Herd on a private farm near Eudora, KS (with the permission of the owners). The admission fee to the maze is $7 per adult, $5 for children 4 to 12, and free for kids 3 and under. There are also set hours, those hours are 8am to sunset Monday through Friday and 1pm to sunset on Sunday. (The maze is also closed during rainstorms and for a few hours after heavy rains to prevent damage.) You must arrive at least 30 minutes before closing to be admitted. The maze will close for the season on October 7 and I will probably retrieve the cache between 3:00 and 4:00 that afternoon.
The parking lot is near N 38° 56.967', W 095° 09.442'... enter the adjacent shop to purchase your tickets. You can then proceed to the maze entrance and begin your hunt. Stay on the paths no matter how tempting it may be to do otherwise. Leaving the paths will be destructive to the maze and may result in the cache being removed.
The cache is a small black box about the size of a tackle box and is camouflaged. It is jam packed with all sorts of fun items, including a $20 bill for the first person to find it.
In addition to the log book there is also a waterproof disposable camera... please take a picture of yourself or your group and return it to the box. When the maze closes for the season I'll collect the camera and post the photos here.
