The New River Wetlands project was set up to clean water that flows down the New River from Mexico into the USA and ultimately to Salton Sea. The water is made up of industrial, municipal and agricultural effluents. The water is pumped into a series of ponds, where Mother Nature does wonders with the water quality. The area is very scenic and wildlife abound. Take your camera for some great shots. There are pelicans, ducks, coots, and miscellaneous birds.
Take Forrester Road north off Interstate 8, turn west on Wienart Road; go past Gullett Road. Turn north and follow the flowing water down off the bluff into the bottom area where you will see the ponds. Follow your gps to find the cache.
Please try not to make too many tracks that spoil the thrill of the hunt for the geocachers that follow you to the site. Thanks.
The cache is a camoed plastic 1st Aid Box.
Happy Geocaching.
Update: This cache has been adopted from fishing fool.
