Team GPSaxophone: Sadly, it's time for me to archive this one. I started geocaching in 2002 and I lived just down the street from here in a brand new house. I placed several caches in the area but none of them lasted like this one. Oh sure, I had to replace the container a couple of times but I kept this one going even after moving to Colorado. Unfortunately it's in an area that needs to be checked on more often than I am able. The original hiding place was in the crevices of the rocks but those filled in with sand over the years. I moved it to be under the bush three years ago which gave it new life. Well, the cache has gone missing again and I think that's a sign telling me to let it go. It isn't my last New Mexico hide (I still have one in the Jemez and two near Raton) but I think it is my oldest hide and will be missed. The area is now open for someone local to place and maintain a cache. If I get back to the area, and I'm sure I will, then I'll make a point of trying to find it. Happy trails.
