This cache has a few ways to reach it. The easiest would be to boat over from the boat ramp at the end of Rattlesnake Rd. in Placer county. The harder way would be to park in the vicinity of (N38°48.686' W121°04.841')at the end of the old Goose Flat Rd. which is located off of Rattlesnake Bar Rd. in El Dorado county and then hike in to the cache.
The cache is a 1.7 pt (7.5"x5'x2.5") Rubbermaid container.
It contains a log book, pen, spare batteries and some trade goods.
It is hidden in such a way that you can see it without moving anything but you will have to move a cantaloupe sized rock to get it out of it's hiding place.

If you hike in and take a dog be sure to bring a leash. I have seen loose cattle in the area around the parking coordinates.
