Greenwood Final Rest Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Species5618: After being muggled many times and many DNf's I got a log earlier this month for this cache but now I see it has been deleted so I think it was logged in error and the cache is in fact not there.

Geocache Description:

This is a Multi-Stage Log only Micro Cache located in the Greenwood Pioneer Cemetery.

The coordinates listed for this cache are NOT the location of the cache.
They are just your starting coordinates and are also in the vicinity of a place to park.

For this cache you will have to find two headstones and use the information on them to get the cache coordinates from the starting coordinates.

Take the decimal portion of the minutes of latitude of the starting coordinates (915).
Treat it as a whole number and ADD Esther Petersen's age when she died to it.
Now substitute the result back into the decimal minutes of latitude.

Take the decimal portion of the minutes of longitude of the starting coordinates (614).
Treat it as a whole number and SUBTRACT Leslie I. Carlson's age when he died from it.
Now substitute the result back into the decimal minutes of longitude.

This will give you the coordinates of the cache.

Note: When calculating ages ignore the months just use the year of birth subtracted from year of death.

The cache is not on or in any graves or family plots but is inside the cemetery fence.
Please respect the residents

The cache used to be a green waterproof match conatainer but since it has been muggled so many times it is now in a container to blends in better, so it is harder for them (and you) to find.
Bring your own writing instrument.

Please log your find or no find online so I will know how the cache is doing.
If you feel my coordinates are off please email me your coordinates.
So I can make adjustments if necessary.

No more boring log entries.
Hey folks how about leaving a log entry that tells me something about finding this geocache or about your day of geocaching? We are all guilty of the old cut and paste but how about something more than "Good cache TNLNSL TFTC" on 10+ caches in one day? We cache owners like to hear about your experiences. It gives us a feeling of being there when we can't be, how the cache is doing, and it lets us get to know you in a virtual kind of way. That doesn't mean it has to be long just not boring.
Remember the cache owners and anyone with a watch on the cache will read your log, how about making it interesting.
We Thank You.
