Georgetown Final Rest Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Species5618: I checked on this cache over the weekend and it is gone. Further more the hole in the tree that it was in has been filled up. So I am going to archive this cache. I have placed a new one in the same cemetery and will be submitting a new cache as a replacement soon.

Geocache Description:

This is a Multi-Stage Log only Micro Cache located in the Georgetown Pioneer Cemetery.

The coordinates listed for this cache are NOT the location of the cache.
They are just your starting coordinates and are also near the front entrance to the cemetery.

For this cache you will have to find two headstones and use the information on them to get the cache coordinates from the starting coordinates.

Take the decimal portion of the minutes of latitude of the starting coordinates (412).
Treat it as a whole number and SUBTRACT Walter N. Grover's age when he died from it.
This headstone is located in the north east portion of the cemetery.
Now substitute the result back into the decimal minutes of latitude.

Take the decimal portion of the minutes of longitude of the starting coordinates (583).
Treat it as a whole number and ADD John M. Buchler's age when he died to it.
This headstone is located in the north west portion of the cemetery.
Now substitute the result back into the decimal minutes of longitude.

This will give you the coordinates of the cache.

Note: When calculating ages ignore the months just use the year of birth subtracted from year of death.
Note #2: There are two Walter N. Grovers. They are near each other. The younger one is the one you want

The cache is not on or in any graves or family plots but is inside the cemetery fence.

The cache is a black 35mm film can with a log book in it.
Bring your own writing instrument.

Please log your find or no find online so I will know how the cache is doing.
If you feel my coordinates are off please email me your coordinates.
So I can make adjustments if necessary.
