Geocache Description:

A Saturday afternoon lunch time geocache chat on April 5,2003; followed by a museum visit to explore the science and history of how we find our caches.

Lunch event from Noon to 1:30 p.m. (free)

Museum event from 1:30 p.m. on. (admission charge required) Museum closes at 5.

Bring a lunch or snack and come join Jungle Green and Orange at the picnic tables at the back of the Morris Museum. In the event of rain, we will tailgate under the parking deck. We will shoot the geocaching breeze and then around 2 p.m. all who want to Find Their Way can do so at the museum. If we get a group of 20 then it is only a $2 entry fee.

Why visit the Morris Museum? Well, they are having a special exhibit now through June 22, 2003. Entitled: Navigation: Finding Your Way

What could be more appropriate for a bunch of geocachers? One note: the exhibit doesn't exactly cover GPS technology but covers the basics of human preception, latitude and longitude, mapping and much more. See here for details

For more about the Morris Museum see their web site.

Hope to see you there. It will be great fun for kids and adults alike. Feel free to leave a note on the event page to let us know if you are coming or thinking about it.

If anyone wants to visit the museum at another time to see the exhibit then the following coordinates are closer to the museum entrance: N 40 47.762 / W 74 26.903
