I'm really surprised a cache hasn't been placed here before. It
also amazes me that people don't know about this area. Even people
who have lived a little ways away for 20 years (like my
sister)!
There was a huge factory near here at one time that produced a
lot of what you'll see. These items can actually till be quite
valuable on E-Bay.
Alright, enough of that. The cache is a gray plastic fishing
tackle like box Tupperware container with a blue lid 1 gallon
plastic mayo jar painted black. Can not hold large objects, so try
and keep things small.
If you're driving, you can't park on the road. You'll have to
park in that other "co".
Have fun, and please make sure you keep this cache
hidden as when people come out here, they're usually
looking around all over.
[Added 8/6/03] For those interested in the history of what
you've found here, check out this website I came across AFTER you
find the cache (it will definitely give away the secret of what's
here): www.e-z-smith.com/amcraft.html
[Update 9/23/03] They just finished building a new bike path
through this once forgotten area. Ah the Bay Area secret places are
disappearing fast! Anyway, again please try to keep this thing
hidden as increased numbers of people will be coming through
here.
[Edit 2/7/04] This cache replaces one that was apparently
taken sometime in late January 2004. Damn!
[Edit 3/27/05] Cache replaced and moved to a new location
near the old. PLEASE, PLEASE put back in the same spot and make
sure nobody is watching.
Update
1/21/06. New cache placed to replace last missing cache.
PLEASE put it back exactly where you found it!
Update
11/30/06. Eeek! Number 3? 4? New cache placed to replace last
missing cache. Co-ords updated for new location. PLEASE put
it back exactly where you found it!
