Glow-cache (night) Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

RJFerret: It was overcast, the leaves are fully out, so time for a maintenance check... I found everything in good shape, aside from the blooming understory. -Randy

Geocache Description:

NOTE: The above coordinates are NOT the cache, but where to park. Don't park in the lot on the right side of this one-way road (requiring permit sticker) or on the road itself (prohibited). The appropriate parking lot (on the left after the tennis courts), is well lit and under video surveillance, so please act non-suspiciously when leaving your car, and please refrain from parking on the nearby residential streets to minimize drawing undue attention to yourselves.

Do you sparkle? Do you glow? Even if you simply enjoy the night, this cache is for you!

This is an easier night cache. (See web site link above for harder...) Bring a flashlight and a backup flashlight. There is a lot of ambient light--if you get lost, just return toward the brightest lights (that's where you parked).

From the lot, continue walking up the road into the woods, the reflector trail starts at the trailhead: N 41 13.256' W073 03.119'. Stand at that point and shine your flashlight down the trail (southward) about 10' up. See something shiny? Go and stand near it... Repeat! When you see double reflectors (on top of each other, like ':'), find a white film can, which contains the coordinates to the cache nearby (please re-hide it as found [and the film can shouldn't be totally visible]), yes you get to use your GPS too! There's very little bushwacking as nearly the entire route follows existing trails. You'll know when your getting near the end after you double-back and the reflectors get a lot closer together.

Enjoy! --Randy

PS: Oh yeah, I did incorporate a false trail, so if you find yourself going in circles, look for another way. Also, this cache is NOT snow-friendly, please don't attempt it when snow's on the ground!
