Cache is located about 1/4 mile in from the parking area. There are several trails that lead to the cache. None of them are clearly marked. The cache is a translucent square plastic container with a light green lid. There is heavy tree cover and GPS signals were lost several times. This does not present a problem in locating the cache. It is hidden within a large outcropping of rocks and boulders. Smaller rocks, leaves and tree branches conceal the cache. Please cover the cache to completely hide it.
Winding hiking trails meander through the park, connecting several scenic overlooks. Easily accessible family picnic sites with barbeque grills, public restrooms, a ball field, and horseshoe pits. A picturesque seven-acre lake, whose shore is partially lined with weeping cherry trees, affords geocachers the opportunity to fish, rent rowboats and paddleboats on weekends and holidays, Memorial Day through Labor day. During the winter the lake is used for ice-skating and ice fishing. This is a well-maintained general purpose park for year round enjoyment.
