Geocache Description:

This cache is located beside Graham Lake Falls, locally known as "Great Falls", at the end of Fox Hill Road in Waltham. A short walk after you park, then a short but steep rough trail down to the falls, then up a short path.

You are looking for an ammo can that has been hidden under a rock/boulder beside the falls which occur along the Union River. I really like the caches that I have found at waterfalls and wanted to share that experience with others. Take Route 179 in Waltham to the Fox Hill Road. Travel straight ahead along Fox Hill Road approximately 1.2 miles, do not turn off right or left. I parked at N44.44.955 W068.20.944. After parking, veer slightly right (north) down an old logging road (follow your GPS) for 2-3 minutes until you can see the falls on your right. There is a short decline/path to the falls. This looks like a great fishing spot so bring your rod if it's in season. I placed this cache several weeks ago during a rainstorm so I'm hoping the coords will put you close. If they are way off let me know and I'll adjust accordingly. I also can't remember if I placed any TB's or coins in the cache so if you find and take any please just go to that TB's web site, log them as "grabbed" from me and move them along. Enjoy the waterfall! Also, after finding the cache, you might want to continue down the old logging road right beside the falls and head downstream a short ways and bear right along a trail beside the river. There are great high-angle opportunities to take pictures (see my uploads). Finally, once you get back to your vehicle you can continue down the road (north) a very short distance to a nice camping/picnic spot along the river. This is a really nice cache to visit....well worth the trip!
