Fake coordinates above. I wanted to announce this event while I am working out the details of where is the biggest litter hot spot to work on.
There is no South Bay CITO event, so I'm planning one. I'm looking at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or whenever we get tired, hopefully with a BBQ at the end.
I will have more details about location later this week. I am working with the City of San Jose Anti-Graffiti and Litter Program to get litter picking up devices and garbage bags for our efforts. I'm hoping they'll let me know which parks or creeks around here need the most help. I can bring a truck to haul out the junk with.
RSVP with t-shirt size so I can see about getting CITO t-shirts to have for sale at the event.
April 7, 2003 1622 UPDATE
I talked to the director of the Anti-Litter program and he said that they would provide litter sticks, bags, gloves, and vests for us to borrow. Now we just need to think of a place. Suggestions?
