Mrpowersupply cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Jpjazz: Wow, was it ever hot in the Dimple today, it must have been near 100. Still Jazzrock and I made what turned out to be the last trek to Mrpowersupply! [:(]

Sadly, I can now confirm that the MPS cache is indeed gone, possibly a result of being located too close a neighboring backyard. As a result it is being archived, but not until I thank all who have visited this and it's predecessor the C & D cache. I can count over 100 logs. Thank you for stopping by, trading and sharing your thoughts.

Soon another Dimple Dell cache will appear in a more secure location.!

Geocache Description:

Our previous cache near this location (Dimple Dell C&D Cache) was plundered by either 2 or 4 legged creatures, so we have renamed and relocated this cache in a better location. The round trip distance is approximately 1-1.25 miles, with a long steady uphill climb on the return trip. In the summer you will want to bring along some water and/or plan an early evening find, as it gets quite hot in the "dimple" through the months of May through September.

The cache and trails leading to it are located entirely within the Salt Lake County Dimple Dell Park. Make sure to park at either of the following locations to avoid tracking through our neighbor's property (DO NOT APPROACH FROM THE EAST):

Dimple Dell North Parking Lot
(N40°34.190' W111°48.851')

Granite Park Parking Lot
(N40°34.212' W111°48.460')

The cache location is most directly reached by following the trails from either parking location to the Sleepy Hollow Trail (N40°34.135'/ W111°48.513') however there are multiple alternative marked trails.

If the weather is appropriate, try taking a picnic lunch, as there are numerous picnic tables located through the park. Those closest to the cache site are located at (N40°33.956'/ W111°48.667') & (N40°33.852'/ W111°48.691')

(The water in the creek bed fluctuates from day to day so be prepared to cross some water, near or at(N40°33.952'/W111°48.685')
