This is a potluck picnic for any interested geocachers on April 27, 2003 at 12:00 noon at Schramm Park.
Thanks to everyone who came to the event! If you attended, you can log the event as a find. If you found any of the extra temporary event caches, you can log additional finds for each of those as well. Note that the cache listed on the pink sheet will become a permanent cache, so you can log it on its regular page, which should be up soon (if it isn't already).
I'll upload some pictures of the event early next week.
Please come meet with fellow geocachers for an afternoon of food and caching.
Schramm park is located between Lincoln and Omaha. There are four caches in the park and a few more might get placed for this event. The aquarium is also an interesting place to visit if you have not been in there before.
I will be bringing Cache In Trash Out bags to hand out so that this event can be combined with the International Cache In Thrash Out Day events. If you would like to order a Cache In Trash Out T-Shirt, those are available in the geocaching.com store for $3 each.
The coordinates are for the picnic area near the fish hatchery. I beleive that you need a park permit to park in the fish hatchery area. But you can park at the aquarium without a permit and walk to the picnic area. It is not very far.
Please bring a dish for the potluck. The Shorts will be bringing plates, silverware and napkins. I will bring a cooler with ice for people to store drinks in.
