Geocache Description:

Located near the scenic shoreline of Lake Michigan, this cache is a short hike into a public access area. "Terrain" rating is very weather dependent. Watch for Poision Ivy and note hunting alerts listed below.

Winter Rating: Snow should not limit ability to get to this cache, but slushy weather might.

NEW CACHE LOCATION as of July 3, 2004
Finders prior to 7/3/04 are encouraged to find it again and log the find.
Cache has been repaired/moved/adopted by "EnergySaver".
due to lack of maintenance/response by original owner "Team Van Go"

Nothing savable in the old (4/20/03) cache except the pens. The New (7/3/04) cache is in a more high-class location, less likely to have foot traffic and is in a more stealthy container. starting it out with some basic trading items, logbook, pencil and a travel bug.

The cache is approached from a main trail, with the final approach being a somewhat muddy area. The area is best entered from the small parking area at N43 20.571 W87 53.544 or another parking area, approached from a dead-end road to the south.

Private land is marked; please respect the signs. Important Alert Regarding Hunting (passed on to me by someone that hunts this area): September until January this area is open to public hunting, you should wear bright colors. The park itself is closed to the public during gun season (9 day) and the special T zone seasons.
