On a blustery day we set off in our hovercraft to deliver yet
another cache. The dog went with us in her brand, spanking new life
jacket, needless to say she didn’t like it. We parked the
hovercraft and as the wind blew we searched high and low for just
the right spot.
When we placed the cache the tide height was about 9 feet and
the trail was not covered. Hiking to it is flat and fairly easy,
the height of the island is about 60 feet once you get to it. We
have never walked to the island but most people do. From parking
area on Fir Island it appears to be about a 30 minute walk. Boating
to it can be difficult as the island at the lowest tide can be a
mile from the water, check your tides.
The above information is from the original listing, I'm
keeping it to preserve the "flavor" of the original cache.
