Repeating a worthy cause, the Geocaching Redux will meet on Saturday May 31, 2003 at one of the most historic parks in Oregon. This is the location where Oregon became a state.
There are several reasons to join us:
Work on a park improvement project clearing English Ivy.
Redesign the existing caches Champoeg, Rinse and Repeat and Kitty's X.
Enjoy a lunch time Potluck with other Geocachers.
Play GPS Frisbee golf, as well as a Kids Scavenger hunt.
Save the world from Dr. Isotope or Voss Piety.
Race to Capture the APPARATUS.
Enjoy a really nice park.
If you plan on joining us, please go to the Supplemental Website. Here you can fill out a form that will inform me if you plan on helping with the ivy cleanup, as well as what you plan on bringing to the potluck. This will help me keep track of everything in one easy format. Please submit only one time as I only get 25 submissions.
Schedule:
09:00-11:00 – Meet at Riverside #2 at the above coordinates. This site includes counters; sink with cold water, 4 electrical outlets, 14 picnic tables, and barbeque pit as well as nearby restrooms. During this time, you can find Champoeg, Rinse and Repeat and Kitty’s X before they are redesigned, or discuss the wonderful world of caching with other geocachers you may or may not have met. Exciting!
11:00 - 1:00 Ivy clearing project organized with the park staff Ranger Mike. Mike will give us the location and proper assistance. Gloves, long sleeves, and closed toe shoes required.
1:30 - 2:30ish Return to Riverside #2 for Potluck lunch. Join in the “soon to be” world famous GPS Frisbee Golf brought to you by the “mostly” famous Bazzle.
2:30ish - 4:00 - We will also divide into two teams to re-design the original "Child of Rendezvous" caches, trade coordinates & find the other teams' cache. The 2 teams will be of equal size. I need volunteers for Team captain and/or container design.
5:00 – EndTime? Battle Dr. Isotope or Voss for control of the Broken Arrow. Who is right, who will be left? Our actions will determine the outcome.
6:30-7:00 - Kids Scavenger hunt brought to you by FatherGoose.
8:00 – 9:00 No snipes to hunt, as you will be trying to Capture the APPARATUS. Bring flashlight and GPS for my latest installment.
After 9:15? You are on your own, as I will be exhausted. Cheers!
