A traditional cache located at the top of a short climb in a
beautiful forest location. This area is less than an hour from
Perth and ideal for an afternoon drive.
The cache contains a squeaky dog, modem cable, a cow from the
Hollow Log cache, badges, a super ball (be careful!), an Xmas
decoration and a CD. It is in a clear tupperware box and wrapped in
a red Rowe & Jarman plastic bag.
Access to the cache is via an unsealed road and although badly
rutted in parts will not require a 4WD. After rain the short climb
upto the cache may become even more exciting and good shoes would
be reccommended. In the dry the climb is straight forward. There
are a number of excellent picnic areas located in the vicinity.
15/06/2003: Updated co-ordinates ro reflect new position (thanks
Allan).

December 15, 2009 by Liz and Bruce (6586 found) We were lucky that there were no workmen on the bridge as we spent a long time looking for this cache. Then I read back through some of the previous logs and noted both Allied Ozs and Gardengorillas comments. So shifted our search away from the grass tree to rocks. Found the cache eventually under a group of rocks about 8m from gz (.771 and .265). TNLN. Thanks Haywat for the challenge and showing us this scenic location.

December 10, 2009 by MrDocker (64 found) Scarp road is closed. Access is better from the south side, however it does mean a bit more of a walk, workers said may be a couple of more weeks before it is re-opened, if you take vehicle through the unlocked gate (Jarradale side) when the workers are there you may get locked in!

August 3, 2009 by AlliedOz (388 found) We enjoyed lunch at Serpentine Dam and then headed out for this cache, it took us some time to find the right road and in the end a gate had us hoofing it for the last 1/2 k this is not normally a problem but the kids needed to be picked up from school in Armadale shortly. So we went at it double time! Well as double time as you can go in pea gravel and honky nuts Once close to the GZ we watched the workmen at the bridge for what we hoped was long enough to make them think we were just bush walking, we then nipped up the rocks to do the search thing... checking the hint did not help as we searched every grass tree twice, looking at our watches every 10 seconds getting worried we would have to log a DNF due to time. It was then I remembered Gardengorillas log and it was spotted from where we stood reading it. We both almost passed away as we ran, then jogged, then ambled and then wheezed back up the hill as fast as we could. The Kids were picked up, only a little bit late. TNLN (no time)! TFTC we can laugh about it now, once we get our breath back. AlliedOz aka The Jokers

August 2, 2009 by El Cacholoco (284 found) We had a bit of a walk in on this warm sunny day and crossed under the bridge. It took a bit of searching to come up with the cache, but eventually it seemed to be just at my feet. TFTC

August 2, 2009 by gardengorilla (776 found) Since the road closed signs weren't across the road, we continued on until we found a trail that went in the right direction. A short hike and we found the half finished bridge. It being Sunday, no one was around and we crossed underneath on some boards laid there for that purpose. A short climb up and a bit of a search and we had the cache. The cache is not under a grass tree but in a pile of rocks some 9m away.
