Another cache where a kayak is going to serve you best, so throw your camping gear in and do an overnight. I don't recommend a canoe due to the possability of rough water. The island is 3.5 miles from the boat launch in Bayport.

The best landing and camping is on the north side. Watch for poison ivy on the edge of the woods, however the interior appears to be ivy free. DON'T FORGET THE BUGSPRAY!
They were quite voracious while placing the box. Caution is also advised if you go in hunting season, deer are hunted on the island and duck in the bay. A couple side trips are to North Island 1 mile to the......north! a good spot to see bald eagles, and to the fish factory across the chanel from the launch for smoked and fresh fish from the local waters. Coordinates for the launch are N43d51.220 W83d22.451 and the beach N43d51.668 W83d26.638.
