The Dr. Millar Memorial Micro-Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Max Cacher: Hello again,

A few weeks ago we placed a note to this cache page asking that you post a message and send me a note about the status of this cache and what plans you had for it.

A no response from you, tells us that you do not plan on maintaining this cache and we have archived it, if you change your mind contact me and we will work it out to bring your cache back to life.

Thanks for understanding

Geocache Description:

Located at the Hilton Pier, overlooking the beautiful (?) James River Bridge. Bring your own pen/pencil/crayon.

I used to attend Christopher Newport University, where I had several classes with the late Dr. Millar, English professor and really one of the nicest guys you ever met. He would often tell his classes of his duties as the self-appointed "Judge of Sunsets" as viewed from his vantage point at the end of this pier - hence the cache's title.

Please make note of the signs - the pier has operating hours, and many of the closer parking spaces are restricted during the day due to the school that sits right in front of the pier. There's a nifty little forested area adjacent to the school that's fun to romp through to get to the pier.. if you take this route, though, maybe add an extra half-star to the terrain level.
