Pack up your bikes, lace up your skates, or grab your running
shoes. This is the most popular trail in the San Mateo County Park
System. The trail is multi-use, dirt and paved, 12-mile stretch.
At the start, you are treated to views of the Crystal Springs
Reservoir. Further on, look down into the meadow to see deer
grazing. The trail has some gentle rolling hills, with flat areas.
Much of the path is shaded with Monterey Cypress and Pine trees,
and some Eucalyptus.

The cache is about 3.5 miles into the trail, meaning 7 miles
round trip. There are restrooms, water, picnic tables, and a pay
phone nearby. The container is a medium size rubbermaid! The area
is high traffic so please, BE STEALTHY. Also, when you replace the
cache, please check it from all angles to make sure it is hidden
exactly how you found it!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO CROSS ANY FENCES. Update 9/27/05: See my
log from 9/25/05 for the pictures from the first cache camera.
