I Can Row a Boat....Canoe? Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Fenestra: Sorry, guys. Since Tarhooty and I are no longer caching together, I had forgotten this was still in existance. Looks like it's time to retire it forever.

'Twas fun, though!

Geocache Description:

In a precursor to summer, we decided to propose a little adventure. This is a three part cache that is only accessible by a canoe or John boat and begins at Potter's Bridge then travels upstream. Our other cache, Potter's Covered Cache, is also accessible from the starting point or, if you prefer, you can hunt for it on foot.

Parking can be found in the small parking lot at:
N 40* 04.337
W 85* 59.917

and the public canoe launch is at:
N 40* 04.365
W 85* 59.908

The first two caches are in small camoflaged Tupperware containers and the third is in a larger, round container that is also camoflaged. In the first two are coordinates written on the first page of the logbook along with additional hints that will lead you to the next cache. They are all elevated as to deter flood damage. Also, be aware that the current is sometimes strong. At one point we had to carry the canoe across a couple of small islands so pack light.
This is rated a five in terrain due to the strong current, possibility of flooding and high threat of mud. And watch out for nettles! Remember, this is not for the faint of heart.
If you enjoy this one, we are prepared to place more along the river but farther north making for an all day cache event. Perhaps with a possibility of camping? Let us know. We hope you enjoy your summer.
Be careful out there and, above all, have fun!

*We thought that,in the interest of safety, we should mention that there is no climbing required on the second leg of the cache. Don't worry, we were way ahead of you but, after climbing it (and getting quite scraped-up to boot), we decided that this is too dangerous. Save your energy for the rowing! F&T
