Geocache Description:

West fork of the Oak Creek Trail, elevation 5401 ft. Easy trail, but you'll have to work a little for the cache.

Update October 30, 2018:
The cache has been completely refreshed and placed as “Version 3.0”. This is a replacement for the cache placed in June 2004 (Version 2.0) which was a replacement for one placed in 2001 (Version 1.0) that became lost or stolen. The cookie tin v2.0 was originally placed in was well worn and had definitely seen its days! The new cache is in a small ammo can, hidden in the same location.

This cache is on the West fork of the Oak Creek Trail. The trail is fairly easy but getting to the cache itself involves some climbing and is somewhat challenging. High cliffs and tall trees prevented us from getting GPS readings except on some parts of the trail and at the beach. You may have to eyeball this one. The beach below the cache is at 5401 ft. You'll know you're at the right place then you see the "Picture Rock".
Note: Unfortunately the painting on “Picture Rock” has become covered in moss over the years, so a new photo has been added which shows the face of the giant rock which used to contain the painting.
