More towards Fall City and east up into the hills off the old rail trail
Updated 01/08/11: I'm hoping that this area becomes a lake again. When it was there is was a gem with a nice large lodge in the middle. Still a good hike, and with a view of the old washout . .
Updated: 10.09.06: The lake is not there, although the outflow from the lake was a result of beavers and a weak bank, the area is still quite nice, remote, and an interesting contrast of young forest and what may yet become another beaver effort at some point. Looking at the swath the outflow caused is awesome . . . sad that the lake is no longer there.
Updated: 05.27.05: Noted that the lake may not be there as it had existed before; so I do plan to revisit my cache and update with additional details and pictures. I may move the cache depending on where the new lake boundaries are if at all.
Someday this cache will be the new plateau of larger cities. ATT Cable (Fiber Optic) is on the rail trail, and logging roads exists for some miles east into the plateau. Unlike other east-of-the-valley caches, getting to this one did not involve dodging litter, quads, and motorcycles. Good hint, stay left of ravine near rail trail when choosing to head off the main rail trail. We did pack out what little litter we found. We hope you enjoy the unique location. I plan on upping the quality of the goods within the cache to something a little nicer than 25-cent plastic; and a little more often.
