Geocache Description:

The above coordinates are NOT the coordinates of the cache!
You must find Pandora's Golden Key which has the true coordinates. The provided coordinates are for suggested parking.

In ancient times there was a Titan named Prometheus. He did many things to help mankind, thus angering the Gods. Finally after years of thought, they came up with what they felt was a fitting punishment.

The God Hephaistos created a woman from the earth and named her Pandora. Then the Goddesses of Olympus blessed Pandora with great beauty and allure. Pandora’s only flaw was her extreme curiosity.

The Gods presented her to Prometheus' brother Epimetheus. He fell in love with her and promptly married her. The Gods then gave the happy couple a small box as a wedding present. They were warned to never open this box, and it would always bring them good fortune.

Months passed and the mysterious box weighed heavily on Pandora mind. What was in the box? It drove her to distraction. Finally she could stand it no longer, and opened the box! Evil, pain, pestilence, and other horrors flew from the box, and scattered over the earth. Pandora threw the lid back on the box, but it was too late. Mankind now knew suffering and pain.

But wait, all is not yet lost! For within the box there still resides hope for all mankind. As long as that hope remains, we will never succumb to evil and despair.

Please Note:
Pandora’s box is locked and can not be opened without Pandora’s golden key!

Your Quest is to find Pandora's Golden Key and then find and open the box to release all the hope for mankind that is still contained within!

YOU MUST HAVE THE GOLDEN KEY WITH YOU TO OPEN THIS CACHE!!!

Pandora’s Golden Key can be found somewhere in the Sacramento Valley Area.

After opening the box you must not keep this golden key in your possession nor lock it back into the box when you are done!

You must drop off the golden key into another Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin or Folsom Valley Area Cache.

By no means is the golden key to leave the Sacramento Valley area for all hope then would be lost!

Good luck On Your Quest!
