Geocache Description:

This will be a two day cache, ONLY from 9 AM to 9 PM on June 28, 2003 and from 8 AM to 11 AM on June 29, 2003. This event is being held in conjunction with the Amateur Radio Associaton of Bremerton participation with the ARRL annual Field Day where amateur radio operators communicate with other operators all over United States and Canada using emergency equipment.

The coordinates above are for the gate. The event is on county property that is open only for special scheduled events. Here is what you must do to log a find. Many geocachers are also "Hams" operators. Drive through the gate and if you are a ham check the site that is using a 5 element 6 meter yagi. If you are not a ham there is a picture of the vehicle at the Howe Farm Cache V - Journey's End. (GCG49Y)
Just click on the W7WT in the middle of the aero photo. At the base of the ladder used as a tower is a box containing
some white QSL cards with the coordinates of the cache written on the face of the card. Take a card and write your
geocaching name on the back and go look for the cache. The cache is a coffee can. It may or may not be in a plastic sack. If you are a ham leave your QSL card and the white card with your geocaching name on it. If you are not a ham or forgot your QSL card just leave the white card. There will also be a log book and pencil. Feel free to visit the other communication sites and watch SSB and high speed CW operators communicate all over the country.
