Geocache Description:

Take county road number 559 (Mays Landing/Somers Point Road) then turn south onto county road number 651 (Jeffers Landing Road). Travel a little over one mile and look for the old dirt road after going around the bend. There is a large tree stump next to the road where you can park at N39 19.005 W074 38.903.

After parking you will walk along the dirt road for about 1/3 of a mile to the cache. The walk is easy and the cache not too difficult to fine. After you find the cache walk out towards the meadow and see the view out across the Great Egg Harbor bay. Morris Beach in the distance has about a dozen homes on the edge of the river. You see these same homes when you are crossing over the Beesleys Point bridge causeway. If you are curious take a ride down the road when you get back to your car and you can see the river and these homes ‘way out there’ in the meadows.

You should wear long pants and use bug spray. You will be walking along the wetlands meadows and the bugs are active during the warmer weather. You may want to do the cache in the middle of the day instead of early morning or evening for that reason. The cache is a 5x8 inch clear plastic container with the green geo label. Remember to wear your bright orange during the hunting season so others can see you.
