Located at the top of Townsville's most striking natural feature. You can drive to the top or start at the bottom which ever you prefer.
We placed this cache during a brief port visit on our way home from Operation Iraqi Freedom. As time was short we had to cab it to the top and walk down, but the climb up should not be to hard. Rate it a three from the bottom up. The view is incredible day or night and is well worth the trip.
The cache is a medium sized tupperware container with a purple top.
Placed therein are the following: 1 COMPHIBRON 7 Unit ID patch, 2 USS Tarawa (LHA 1)coins (please only take one), Operation Enduring Freedom lapel pin, toy parachutist, 1 Capt Morgan keychain, and a bottle opener.
I would like to tip my hat to the people of Townsville always great hosts and wonderful friends, thank you. If you get the chance I strongly reccomend the trip. Always worth the time.
