This cache is located in Helyar Woods, a short distance from the main trails.
The theme of this cache is "green", so bring something green to leave! Original contents included:
Green frog
Green water pistol
Green note clip
WG$
Green drink umbrella
CD with songs or artists with the word "green" in them
Green mini-kite
Green bubbles
Green notepad and pencil w/green eraser
but they're all gone by now.
Thanks to Boscobaby, a new cache is in place while I am recovering from Lyme. Coordinates have changed very slightly from originals.
This is my first cache, and I had a heck of a time getting coordinates due to tree cover. Get a good fix before entering the woods. Access to the area is via Log Cabin Rd, off of Ryders Lane. PLEASE observe the hours posted! The area is open 8am until dusk, 7 days a week, and there is no swimming allowed in the lake. Park by the Log Cabin..weekends with nice weather are often very busy with visitors and/or events so parking can be a little challenging at these times. A beautiful area, and you won't have to go far off any of the trails to find the cache...be patient and you won't have to bushwhack...just keep following different paths and the coordinates should bring you within 35 feet...my GPS took a little time to settle in the closer I got. After you find the cache, head towards the back of the woods and you will find a lovely brook in a ravine which is nice to picnic at. Please pick up any trash you may see, although it's usually very clean.
