Geocache Description:

A nice walk through E. Calvin Van Dyke Park. Entrance is at N38 51.161 W77 17.777. Park closes at dark. Cache is in a fairly secluded area, but people walk through the area all the time. Please be discreet.

I was surprised to find that Fairfax City had no cache to call it's own, so I just had to put one there! I grew up near this park and I married my lovely wife in this park at N38 51.232 W77 17.945. But enough about my life and on to the business at hand... The Cache! The terrain rating is a 2.5 due to a slightly steep hill - that's IF you go down NE of the tennis courts. If you go down the hill to the SW, it will be much steeper! I got various readings that were off by as much as 80 feet from the reported coordinates. The cache is a 1-gallon, rectangular, Rubbermaid container with camouflage paint, and is hidden on the ground in some bushes. Dead Give-away clue: GJRYIR SRRG ABEGU BS GUR PRAGRE CVAR'F GEHAX.
