Cemetery Quest - Mountain View Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

snookie74: It is with deep regret that I am having to archive this entire series. It has been in existence for almost 13 years and has had a great run. I adopted it 6 years ago and have really enjoyed the logs from all of the visitors and even the times I had to visit for maintenance. I have no idea what prompted the cemetery managers to have an issue with this, as in my experience, Geocachers are very respectful of their surroundings. I have the option to place the caches outside of cemetery property, but I am choosing not to do so. I feel the enjoyment of doing a cemetery series is the history of the headstones and the atmosphere of the cemetery itself. I hope everyone that visited these places enjoyed them as much as I did. My apologies to those of you who started this and will not be able to finish.

TRIVIA
First known as "Three Spits" due to three sand pits jutting out into Hood Canal. A post office was established as Carleston and caused too much confusion. The town changed its name to Bangor in 1890 after a similarly titled city in Maine, which also is the name of a city in Wales.
