tootsie-roll: We visited site today and found it empty - not even the logs people left were in it. Since the cache is nearing the end of the three years of DCNR site approval and so many mugglers over the last year have taken the cache contents numreous times - we decided to remove the cache and will archive the location.

We will notify DCNR that we have removed the cache.

Jacobsburg Park

This cache is located in Jacobsburg State Park.

Since there has been some thefts of only travel bugs from this cache back in May - June 2004 - we are requesting that you do not leave any travel bugs here - as a traditional cache it works fine.

We chose this location because of its easy access off of Route 33. This is such a great park for hiking or mountain biking. Dogs on leash are ok - mountain bikes on approved trails. The cache is in the eastern part of Jacobsburg State Park off the Red Blazed Jacobsburg hiking trail. We recommend parking at the main parking lot on Belfast Road (N40°46.954 W75°17.610). There is a map posted to help you find the trails. NOTE: While some dash-n-cache types may find closer parking - PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT THE TRAIL HEAD ENTRANCE. Also, there is a building in the vicinity of the cache. The cache is not in, under or on this building - which has an alarm system.

No bush wacking should be required (if you come in from the trail) and the site is accessible on crutches. The Cache is a regular sized plastic container. Please do not post spoiler pictures of the Jacobsburg Park cache hidding location.
