The Griffin Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Markwell: As much as I'd love to maintain this cache, I can't get out there and take care of it like I want. I'm greatly scaling back the caches that I've placed.

Hope someone else can use this area better than I did, and special thanks to Jim on his Eagle Project.

Geocache Description:

Cub Scouts Place a Cache!

Our Cub Scout Den has been corresponding with an Eagle Scout who is now in the military. He used this park and this spot for his Eagle Project. When you're standing on the coordinates, you're standing on his project. There's the direct way to get there, and the easy way. This is an offset cache. You will need a compass.
Once you get to the coordinates, you'll need a little orienteering that the scouts teach.

When you're standing in the middle of the project, you'll need to go 75 feet to bearing 195° to find the cache.

NEW DIRECTIONS: When you're standing in the middle of the project, you'll need to go 72 feet to bearing 230° to find the cache.

Original cache items were donated by members of Den 4, Pack 13 along with a Travel Bug and a Geocoin. There have been a number of people questioning the name of the cache. A Griffin is a combination of two animals.

Lion plus Eagle equals Griffin
