Chase Lake
Chase Lake is a small marshy lake located about 1.5 miles south of Priest Lake. It is named after Pete Chase, an early squatter, miner and moonshiner in the area.
The lake is a favorite among bass fishermen and those hoping to spot a moose in the twilight hours. The fishing season here is open from July 1 through December 31. Please keep in mind that gasoline powered motors are prohibited on the lake.
Also, please note that tree cover at the cache site is relatively dense, making GPS reception difficult. The coordinates posted above represent the average of several recordings made over a short period. As a result, they could be off significantly, or at least differ significantly from what you will experience when visiting the site. For that reason, I strongly recommend that you have the hints and spoiler pictures with you to help you in your search should you run into any problems.
