A cache of a somewhat different nature. Please note that the above coordinates are not the location of the cache. Please read on for the whole scoop.
The purpose of this cache is to get those geocachers in the area to go out and revisit some of the great caches we have here on Fidalgo Island. Our method for doing that this this:
The coordinates for the final cache location are traveling around the Anacortes area with the help of two travel bugs. To find the cache, you must track down the travel bugs and get the coordinates (plus an additional little hint). So this cache will stay active for long to come, we ask that you follow a few simple rules.
1. Please log the movement of the travel bugs punctually. They are the key to this cache, so being able to obtain their accurate location is a necessity.
2. Follow the guidelines outlined on the travel bugs themselves.
3. Please don't share the coordinates with other cachers. It stays more fun when everyone has to go out and find the bugs themselves.
So, to get started, find the current location of the travel bugs. Best of luck. Let me know if a TB goes MIA, and I will release another one to replace it.
****UPDATE AS OF 11/9/03****
A quick little hint. Do some investigating before going searching for the bugs. Sometimes they go missing or aren't in the places they are supposed to be. This information can usually be obtained from reading logs and looking at dates since the bugs have been moved. Anyway, it might save you the frustration of going to a cache expecting to find a clue, and it not being there.
