This cache is hidden within a few feet of the trail in a small but pleasant wooded canyon with a creek. The trail is a loop and the canyon has access via at least 3 entrances with street parking at each. Cache is a small plastic container. There is no bushwhacking needed, and in fact to do so would put you in the poison oak which is all over the place off the trail.
Parking Hint: 3000 oybpx bs Nethryyb
NOTE: AGAIN: DO NOT BUSHWACK off the trail, even if your GPSr tells you to do so. Apparently there is a bee hive somewhere deep in the woods although the owners have NEVER seen it even though we have looked for it repeatedly. The trail is a loop which will explain the GPS pointing one way even though the trail goes another. FOLLOW THE TRAIL. Of course as in any cache in the woods, watch for ticks, fox tails, and poison oak.
The Pussycat spent quite some time adding camo to this cache. PLEASE be a CC (conscientious cacher) and handle this cache with care.
This cache was disabled for several months while the trail was reconstructed. There were several small landslides. We managed to get to our old cache site, so the co-ords are the same. We changed the terrain level because the new trail is longer. Once again. NO BUSHWACKING. BTW, you will need a TOTT. Think 2 sturdy sewing needles or an instrument with a longish nose and little teeth.
This is a gorgeous walk in the fall. It is mostly shady and quiet. Very few people know about this trail.
