The park closes at dusk, so please make sure you get there early enough to enjoy the area. Definitely another easy find from The Tarrytown Horsemen! Don’t get too used to it though…our caches are going to get harder from now on…or at least more interesting! There are other trails nearby that will lead you along side the Hutch and/or over to Saxon Woods Park which you might find interesting. Be sure to check out the “Critter Crossing” sign! (If someone could upload a picture of it, we’d sure appreciate it!!!) The cache container itself is a pretty small Gladware type (measuring approx. 4” long, 2.5” wide, 2.25” high) & painted black. Inside it we hid a Jack-O-Lantern note pad, a kazoo, 3 Halloween erasers, a 1 Where’s George? bill. Please make sure the cache is well covered by leaves, etc. before you depart. We hope you enjoy your hunt!!!
10/10/01 UPDATE
We went to check on the cache today & all is well! Left a travel bug named "Ichabod Crane" next to the cache. The travel bug is in a clear plastic mailing tube with red rubbery caps on either end; inside are instructions on which way "Ichabod Crane" wants to travel. We hope someone in the geocaching world finds him & starts him on his journey! Thanks in advance!
03/2003 Note -
Being that the TarryTown Horsemen's email ID seems to no longer be valid, the powers that be have allowed Poppa Duck and StereoOptic to adopt this cache. If the Horsemen return we will be glad to turn the cache back over to them.
