A very well hidden microcache by/in Ljanselva in Oslo.
2004-06-14: Cache moved. Hints and coordinates
updated.
Small, blue container hidden between Leirskallen and Ljabru along
the river Ljanselva. Ljanselva is one of 7 rivers/creeks of Oslo.
Read more about it at
"http://www.osloelveforum.org/ljans.html">Oslo Elveforum,
unfortunately only in Norwegian. Also a nice
"http://home.no.net/oddketil/ljanselva.html">photo documentary.
The area along this part of the river is untouched old forrest, so
the GPS coverage may be very poor at times. The cache is hidden
sort of in the middle of the river, althou it wasent much water
flowing when I placed the cache. More like a small creek with soggy
areas on the riverbank. Wear boots and pants, as the area is full
of stinging nettles (Brennesle). As you walk along the blue-marked
track, you are in the correct area when you see the very tall white
birch on the west side of the trail. Container is 3 cm diameter and
6 cm long. Cache contains from the start;
- infosheet/log, tiny pencil
- Old austrian 20-shilling note
- ICE-drops
- Scotchlocks
- A written number inside the lid...take a note for future
use
