I am a traveling cache and I want to see beautiful and historic places. This cache has traveled more than 30,704 miles. This cache has very impressive content, there are post cards and photos from around the world.
On October 15, 2001, I began my travels on the Great River Road which is a National Scenic Byway and the Alton Lake Heritage Parkway. The spot is between Alton and Grafton Illinois near St. Louis next to the Mississippi River. I have posted some of my pictures of the area below.
Island Dave took me to Louisiana. Swamprat showed me New Orleans and then moved me to Mississippi. MurphMan moved me to New Mexico and took me snow boarding. Team TJ moved me to Texas. Ajetpilot moved me to Washington via Ohio and California (I got to go in the cockpit!). Belleterre moved me to Tacoma. TLPJonesy move me to St. Augistine. critesj1 moved me to Springfield, MO. Bonifide took me through Dallas, TX to Maui, HI. AV8NDAD & Family moved me to Hollywood. Davesidious took the cache to London. He handed it off to Alistair and Cara who kept it for 8 months. Alistair and Cara took it on Eurostar to France. Grokky Grokson took me to Brussells Belgum. GB-cacher took me home to St. Louis via Leuven & Gent Belgium, Calais and LeTourget, France, and Chicago. I (myotis) took the cache to Denver via a trip through Kansas and visiting Denver, Boulder, Lost Lake, then a trip to Maxwell Falls and finally to Three sisters park. Mondou2 moved me to Molly's Castle in central Utah. GEO.JOE took the cache Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Death Valley NP, Down Hwy 6 (The Loneliest Road in America), Great Basin NP, Rock hounding in Delta UT, to Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake, to Omaha NE, to Paduah Ky to Tunnel Hill IL. The Veep moved me to Greenville KY. You can see pictures of my travels in the log entry and the cache container.
You can either log me as a typical cache or move me. If you move me, you must move me at least 100 miles and to a scenic or historic place. (No rest stops!) Please do not place the cache outside the United States. (It is OK to take me on a trip with you outside the US as long as you take pictures.) If you move it, you need to place some pictures or a post card of the area it has moved to in the cache. (You can also upload them with your log entry.) Put some information about the area in the log book and in your log entry. You are encouraged to take the cache on a trip. Just take pictures of the cache in neat spots and send me the coordinates of where it has been.
Here are the details on how this will work. If you just log it, just log it. If you are going to find it and move it, it would be nice to put a note on the site to warn people.
Once the cache is hidden again (do not make it very hard to find and keep it a 1 star rating BUT MAKE SURE IT IS WELL HID), place a note on the site with the new coordinates and a description of the new area. Place the hint for the cache in your log entry. Start your log entry with: THIS IS THE CURRENT DIRECTIONS AND CLUE FOR THE CACHE. Do not put anything about the site in the note as I will delete it after it is moved. So have the information about the site in another entry.
The cache contains a log book and pencil. The cache is a medium sized tupperware container. Do not take anything from me. Do not put anything in me other than pictures or post cards (or something similar) of the areas I have visited.
This is the 48th Cache I have hidden.
