Geocache Description:

An easy cache to drive to but it will require some calculations to locate.

THE CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE ABOVE CO-ORDINATES!!!!!!

This summer I found a old Cannon on the farm. I decided to fire a magnetic container attached to a projectile towards Abingdon. I positioned the cannon by the NORIA wheel and aimed high to make it over the hills. I set the barrel angel to the ground at 75 degrees.

The bearing of the cannon was 105.4198 degrees. The velocity of the cache and projectile out of the cannon was 811.778 feet per second.

Some things to consider:

To make this easy, neglect air resistance and use 9.8 meters per second squared for the acceleration due to gravity.

Many Thanks to a local Georgia Geocacher "Lazerblazer" for this idea.

This cache starts on Private Property, but we have permission.
